Every year, the Forest Service recognizes outstanding work by Forest Service personnel and their conservation partners in conserving birds, bats and butterflies.
Awards may be given in five categories: 1) Research and Management Partnership Award; 2) Habitat Conservation Award; 3) International Cooperation Award; 4) Butterfly Conservation Award; and 5) Bat Conservation Award. An award may or may not be given in each category each year.
