The Dwarf Mistletoe Committee meeting is open to anyone attending WIFDWC 2001 who is interested in dwarf mistletoes. The meeting will be a round-robin format, with participants giving brief reports (1-2 minutes) on their dwarf mistletoe-related research, surveys, management activities, and other projects. It is also a great place to share ideas and get feedback from the group.
If you plan on attending the Dwarf Mistletoe committee meeting please be sure to sign up when you register for WIFDWC. If you have a topic you would like the group to discuss, please let Katy Marshall know by August 24, 2001.
If you have been involved in dwarf mistletoe-related research or other projects during the past year please submit a short summary of your work for the Dwarf Mistletoe Committee Report. This report will be compiled and distributed at the meeting. Please send your submissions to Katy Marshall by August 24, 2001. Please send them on a diskette or by e-mail in MS Word, Wordperfect or Rich Text Format. For examples of previous submissions, please see last year’s dwarf mistletoe committee report on the WIFDWC website. Submissions are usually assigned to one of the following categories: I. Taxonomy, hosts and distribution. II. Physiology and Anatomy, III. Life Cycles, IV. Host-Parasite Relations, V. Effects on Hosts, VI. Ecology, VII. Genetics, VIII. Management, IX. Surveys, X. Modeling and XI. Miscellaneous. Please let me know which category you would like your submission to be assigned to (suggestions for new categories are also welcome!).
Please call or e-mail me if you have any questions about the meeting or the report. Thank you and I hope to see you at the meeting!
