Release Notes for Version 2.02 of Suppose: A.J. Sánchez Meador FMSC-FtCollins N.L. Crookston RMRS-Moscow S.A. Rebain FMSC-FtCollins C.E. Keyser FMSC-FtCollins E.E. Smith-Mateja FMSC-FtCollins Suppose 2.02 contains all updates and modifications contained in Suppose rn201.txt up to January 18, 2007. ==================January 30, 2007================== The suppose source code is now compliant with XVT 5.8 and Visual Studio 8.0. Since Suppose 2.02 was built using Visual Studio 2005, it now requires at least the .NET 2.0 Framework be installed on the user's machine. This can be typing "%systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework" (without the quotes) into the location bar in Windows Explorer (or My Computer), and reading the name of the folders found inside. The three released versions of the .NET Framework are contained in the following folders: v1.0.3705, v1.1.4322, v2.0.50727 - v2.0.50727 is required. The setup packages for the various variants now check for .NET 2.0 and prompt the user accordingly. Resolved a display issue associated with the VolEqNum keyword and its description, which were previously being cut off in the list box. Resolved a display bug so that the new control panel (released with v2.01) is now properly displayed at lower screen resolutions (screen heights < 1024). For these low resolution settings, suppose now runs at variable sizes so that the window is almost maximized within the vertical and horizontal display space (but it is still resizable). Various changes to accommodate the use of FSVEG's Potential Vegetation (PV) reference code. These are primarily associated with the read/write/edit options for SLF files and how key files are written. Also, the description for field 7 of the STDINFO keyword was changed from "Stand latitude in degrees" to the "Potential vegetation reference code". Suppose now supports the Cover extension for all the western variants. A correction was made to the STDINFO keyword (field 2 for WC and PN), to allow for the selection of plant assoiations. Corrected Location codes for KT variant. Changed the Disperse keyword to be a ppe:{top} not Bottom component. Forest location codes were added to the SN, IE, and NI variants. A ATRTList keyword was added as both a base system and database extension keyword. The ATRTList keyword generates a list of tree records representing stand conditions after a scheduled treatment and outputs the results to eaither a database table or output treelist file, depending on user input. Support for the ECON extension was added via: - a econ keyword file (econ.kwd) - an addition to the database extension (EconRpts) to generate output in database table form - Various event monitor variables were added to support the extension New fields were added to the DATASCRN and TREEDATA keywords so that users may now specify a species or species group to (in addition to a diameter range) to screened. If a user wants to screen out more than one species, they should first create a species group containing the species to be screened, and then specify the species group in new field(s). Multiple DATASCRN or TREEDATA keywords will not work when screening multiple species for obvious reasons. Suppose has been updated to support the new naming convention for the FVS base executables (e.g., "FVSxx.exe"). Given that these new executables now contain the Fire & Fuels, Database, and Economic extensions, obsolete executables (e.g., FVSbm replaced bm, bmfm, & bddbfm) have now been deprecated. Fixed an error that caused the main window to lose focus (thus rendering the menu inoperable) when deleting a stand and/or a group. Corrrected various typos and mispellings. ==================Jan. 30, 2008================== Added the SETSITE Keyword that allows users to change the habitat type, plant association code, ecological unit or site index during the projection cycle. Removed field(s) that were not pertinent to the ATRTLIST keyword and added a Database keyword. ==================Feb. 22, 2008================== Corrected the code for Hackberry in the LS, CS, NE and SE variants. It was incorrectly coded as HB and is now correctly coded as HK. Made changes/corrections to the verbiage on the THINPRSC, DEFECT and DATASCRN keywords. Changed the multiplier range on the SPECPREF keyword to allow user to specify from -999 to 999. Made corrections and updated the Volume Equation Numbers, VOLEQNUM keyword (removed those that are no longer valid) ==================Mar. 05, 2008================== SegCycle preference added (avaiable on the mian menu under Preferences->Suppose Preserences-> Segment the initial cycle = XXX) so the user can specify the behavior of the cycle(s) prior to the common starting year (i.e., segment/aggregate). Default is "Yes", indicating the period prior to the common starting year will be segmented into 10-yr cycles and one remainder (< 10-yr) cycle. "No" results in this period being aggregated into one cycle. Command-line and GUI functionality, as well as "Help" infomation for this feature were included. The Suppose version information will now be updated in .key file header. Fixed a bug with the condition button on the "Plant & Natural Regeneration" window that caused Suppose to crash if the user set a condition and then clicked the condition button a second time. ==================Apr. 15, 2008================== Changed name of NE variant from Northeastern to Northeast.
