Release Notes for Version 2.0 of Suppose: N.L.Crookston RMRS-Moscow S.A. Rebain FMSC-FtCollins C.E. Keyser FMSC-FtCollins E.E. Smith-Mateja FMSC-FtCollins Suppose 2.0 contains all updates and modifications contained in Suppose rn120.txt up to March 15, 2007. Last revision of these notes: September 26, 2007 March 23, 2007 1. New Event Monitor variable was added to Suppose, PotFType, returns the Fire Type for a severe or moderate fire. April 9, 2007 2. Two new Event Monitor functions were added to Suppose; PotSRate, returns the potential fire spread rate for a severe or moderate fire, PotReInt, returns the potential fire reaction intensity for severe or moderate fire. May 16, 2007 3. The diameter and height distribution post processor, the fuels and potential fire table post processor, spectrum export files post processor were all removed. The svs movies post processor was changed so the files have *.bmp extension. The default file reference number on the snagout keyword was changed. The treelist keyword was corrected since field 7 was being printed to field 6 (which isn't used). 4. The Species codes were updated. See FVS Bulletin number 664-051007.txt for details.. June 21, 2007 5. The CYCLEAT keyword was added to Suppose, it allows the user to specify the cycle breaks in the simulation. 6. Some fixes were made to the input access database, field and table names. Spelling corrections were made in some of the thinning management actions. 7. Additional species codes were updated in Suppose to create consistency. 8. Carbon Reports (stand carbon report and the harvested carbon report) were added as a selection in Select Model Output 9. The Crown Thinning Management Action was taken out of the Thinning and Pruning Management Header. July 18, 2007 10. The TreeBio Event monitor function was added to Suppose. This function will allow users to compute dead and or live tree biomass, by standing and or removed, canopy and or main stem, species and size class. August 24, 2007 11. A modify time scale option was added to the Select Modifiers window in Suppose. This will enable users to more easily manipulate FVS cycles. 12. Updated the Plant and Natural Management Action window so that the varaints that allowed sprouting was consitant with the FVS code. 13. The TreeFmt keyword was added. This will allow users to set the FORTRAN tree format data statement with in Suppose. Previously users that wanted to change the default had to do it outside of the Suppose Interface. 14. Add the VolEqNum keyword. This is a new enhancement which allows users to select any valid volume equation from the National Volume Estimator Library to calculate boardfoot or cubic foot volume. September 26, 2007 15. The CarbStat Event Monitor Function was added. This function allows user to return a specific carbon pool from the Carbon Report Table. Modified the CarbCalc keyword, allowing users to specify the units the report is in (imperial tons/ac, metric tons/ha, or metric tons/ac). 16. Made a correction to the Event Monitor TreeBio function regarding Live and Dead trees. 17. Changed the description of Field 7 in the StdInfo keyword, from "Stand Latidue in degrees" to "Potential Vegetation Reference Code." Made correction to the StdInfo keyword for field 2 for the PN and WC variant so that a plant association code pick list was available (previously it was not).
