Release Notes for Version 1.19 of Suppose: N.L.Crookston RMRS-Moscow, January 18, 2006 Last revision of these notes: July 7, 2006 1. Type B records can now be absent or empty, the default inventory year is now the current year from the computer system clock. 2. In the "Set Simulation Time" window, the cycle length can now be set to a longer duration once it has been set to 1 year. 3. List buttons and other controls within scrolling views were sometimes clipped to the view when expanded thus not allowing full access. For example, see "Shade code" in the "Plant & Natural Regeneration" management action. This has been fixed. 4. The tree view control in the "Edit Simulation" window did not work correctly when the number of stands (many thousands) exceeded the a limit that was due to how a the slider control was programmed. This has been fixed. 5. Views are that were not refreshed correctly when resized or scrolled now work correctly. 6. Duplicate programs and extensions were listed in the "Use FVS Keywords" window when some programs (.exe) are not present. For example, use "Lake States" data and the ls.exe and ppls.exe programs. 7. Some windows that were placed underneath menu bar when created are now placed in full view. 8. The background colors of some controls in the scrolling views did not match scrolling view's background color. 9. When a variant had a default cycle length of 5 years and when the user wanted to use 10 years, Suppose failed to build correct TimeInt and NumCycle keywords. This has been fixed. 10. Suppose no longer has a long delay when it first starts. 11. Suppose can now handle management actions that require more than one extension and contain directives for more than one extension. 12. The help system now uses the native viewer. 13. Cut/Copy/Paste/Delete functionality for all edit controls has been added. 14. The text entry views in free-form edit window (displayed when Use Parms, Edit Simulation Notes, and View Component Keywords commands are used) now support entries greater than 80 characters. They also support cut/copy/paste and delete functionality. January 31 modifications: 15. The Delete Stand and Delete Group dialogs can now allow multiple selection stands and groups to delete. The delete key is active when a group is selected. 16. The Edit Simulation File window how has direct access to functions that add stands and components to a run. It also always displays the "current" group or stand in Red letters. A right mouse click on a group or stand sets that group or stand as "current". The window opens on the right hand side of the task window. 17. Simulation file name is now displayed in the Task Window title. 18. PV Reference Code was added as the last item on the .slf "B" record. The value is entered into the runs as field 7 on the StdInfo keyword. March 9, 2006 modifications. 19. The Edit Simulation window works faster on large runs (tested to 11,000 stands). 20. "radioGroup" and "checkBox" controls are now available in the General Purpose Screen Builder. 21. Help files are updated to reflect recent changes. 22. All parameter file changes on version 1.18 made up to March 9 have been included. June 20, 2006 23. Improved the FFE management actions. 24. A correction was made to the Dwarf Mistletoe species list for the California variants, SP was listed as Shortleaf pine instead of Sugar pine. 25. Added the Northeast fire model to the list of extensions. In addition added a new SOILHEAT FFE keyword. 26. Added a 3rd field to the DEFECT keyword, giving users the option to ignore volume defect specified on the input tree record. 27. Added the new CanFProf keyword that allows users to request a cnopy fuels profile output table. June 26, 2006 28. Added two new Event Monitor variables, BDBHwtBA and ADBHwtBA, before and after thin average DBH weighted by stand basal area. 29. Changed field 1 (plot number) of the SetPthin from a default of 0, to an empty (null) box, because the user must specify the plot number for the keyword to work. July 7, 2006 30. Fixed a "fatal error" which occured in Suppose when user's selected the Select Output button. July 10, 2006 30. Added two fields to the FFE FuelInit keyword.
