Rachelle Meyer, Ecologist Writer, synthesizes literature regarding species' responses to fire for the Fire Effects Information System. Rachelle has written reviews of both animal and plant species, including nonnative invasive plants. Examples of her work include the review of the Karner blue butterfly (Lycaeides melissa ssp. samuelis) and its obligate larval food source, the wild lupine (Lupinus perennis). Rachelle has worked on research addressing the population ecology of several wildlife species including birds, small mammals, and amphibians. She received her B.S. in wildlife biology from the University of Montana and her M.S. from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
