FMI's Information Specialists
The FEIS staff specializes in synthesizing knowledge about fire effects for use by management. As the FMI information-team (I-team), these 15 professionals review knowledge on fire effects for living organisms in North America and provide summaries to users through the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS). Other products from the I-team include literature reviews in the “Wildland Fire in Ecosystems” (Rainbow) series, analyses of knowledge gaps on fire effects, and educational programs on wildland fire science for teachers and students.
