Logan IHC Recruitment

The Logan Hotshots are available for fire suppression assignments from approximately June 1 to early October. Medical evacuationWhile not committed to a suppression assignment, the crew is available for prescribed fire assignments and resource project work on the hosting unit. In the past, crewmembers wishing to work late season have stayed on as late as November.

Agency provided housing is very limited and on a first come first serve basis. Most crewmembers are responsible for securing their own lodging. There are ample houses and apartments for rent within walking or biking distance of the Logan Hotshot training compound. Many crewmembers choose to share housing arrangements to further reduce costs.

The crew generally comes on board mid May for two weeks of fire training prior to assignment availability.

Prospective applicants click here to be taken to the Temporary Employment Office web site.

If applicants apply to more than one crew and are hired, please notify the superintendents and/or hiring officials if you no longer wish to be considered for other positions.
