DLA Disposition Service Responsibilities

  1. Provide visibility of DoD excess property through a Firefighter Program Web Application.

  2. Process Firefighter Property program requisitions in a timely manner.

  3. Provide instructions on how to requisition property. See the Firefighter Guide for directions.

  4. Approve for transfer only DoD Firefighter Property that can effectively be used for firefighting or emergency services.

  5. Provide the SF 97 form for the transfer of Title. Guidelines for title transfer.

  6. Track and report on program's progress to the USDA Forest Service

  7. Assist state cooperators in training on the DoD Milstrip processes and procedures.

  8. Pull MILSTRIPS for automated requests and process, to include walk-in requests.

  9. Assist state cooperators on the disposal of Demil C, D, and F property.
