The Nassau Bay Hilton and Marina is located southeast of the city of Houston. From I-45 southbound, exit at NASA Road One (Exit 25) and travel EAST approximately 4 miles. The hotel is the only large white building on the right in that area.
Please note that Houston is served by two major airports. Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is located to the north of Houston's city center and is approximately 40 miles from the Nassau Bay Hilton. Hobby Airport (HOU) is located southeast of city center and is a much more convenient location for access. It is approximately 17 miles from the Nassau Bay Hilton. For those attendees arriving on Continental Airlines, there is a commuter flight from Intercontinental to Ellington Airport (EFD) which is only 9 miles from the hotel. We checked the price from Portland, Oregon and there was no additional charge for this commuter flight, however this was not government fare. Travelers on Continental may want to check this option for flights in and out of Ellington Airport.
The hotel does not offer a shuttle service to either Hobby or Intercontinental Airport. Taxi fare from Hobby to the hotel is about $25.00 for one person. The cost of a taxi ride from Intercontinental is about $65.00. There are commercial shuttle services available, but the price for one traveler exceeds the cost of a taxi. Because of the high cost of commercial travel to and from the hotel, a rental car can be an attractive alternative if other riders can be found -- particularly from Houston's Intercontinental Airport. Government attendees are encouraged to coordinate with each other on arrival times so sharing of rental cars can take place.
