Notice of Intent (NOI)

 What is the Notice of Intent?

The notice of intent (NOI) is published in the Federal Register to provide public notice that the agency intends to prepare and consider an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The purpose of the NOI is to begin the scoping process for a proposed action. The NOI includes important information as to the proposed action, alternatives, the proposed scoping process, names and addresses, and other key information.

 How do I create a Notice of Intent?
