How to Participate
All interested parties are encouraged to contribute
their ideas!
Authors
Author Teams are encouraged to use the WWW site to share and gain information about their respective topics. Some steps to get started:
- Send Bob Szaro electronic copies of drafts and documents you
wish to post in your WWW topic page; or provide a WWW address
(URL) where they may be referenced. (More on how to do this later.)
- Regularly monitor discussion in your topic area, acknowledge or respond to comments and questions, and focus the dialogue
as appropriate.
- You may wish to provide email, fax, and telephone numbers
to enable others to contact you directly.
Others (Review and Comment)
- You may wish to browse through the Tucson Workshop
pages for background on the Ecological Stewardship collaborative
development project.
- Navigate to a Science and Management Topic of interest
(there are some 30 to choose from).
- View science and/or management drafts and associated comments.
- Check out the HyperNews
discussion tool and try it out on a test page if you like.
- Then join the dialogue at the bottom of an appropriate Topic (1-30)
or General Discussion page. Click on Respond
to start a new comment thread. Or view an existing
comment and Respond (reply) to that. (Note that responses
are indented.)
CAVEAT: authoring Teams may use this WWW site at their discretion. A given Topic page may or may not be actively monitored or moderated. Contact someone on the authoring Teams for further information.
- Include the word "Science" or "Management"
(or both) in the Subject line to identify for whom the comment
is intended. Make your comments as specific as possible for the
benefit of the authors. You are encouraged to include your Name
and email address, though that is optional.
- Discussions that cross topic boundaries may better be carried
out on the General Discussion page.
