On May 7, 1998 between 9:00am and 12:00pm local Mountain Daylight Savings Time (1500-1800 UTC)
the CBS antenna was changed, remounted and repositioned on the INEEL Research Center. During the
period of April 28th through May 7th the new antenna had been installed, but not fixed in it’s permanent
location. Due to these changes, some CBS files may not have accurate reference positions during this
period. These files are not available on the ftp site, but were archived in the event that they were still
needed. The following text describes what occurred.
Monday, 4/27/98
The CBS was upgraded to a new L1 antenna with ground plane and Trimble Pro XR receiver at UTC hour
1800 on 4/28/98.
Files from i8042818.ssf through i8050714.ssf may have reference positions between 1 inch to 1 foot off
the true position of the antenna when recording base files. It is likely that the reference position is only
about 4 inches off.
The system was down between i8042909 and i8050509.
Thursday, 5/7/98
The antenna was repositioned between 1500-1800 UTC. These files are not available.
Files from i8050719-22 were collected after the final position of the antenna was secured; however, the
surveyed position was not yet entered into the base station setup. Therefore, users of these files must edit
the reference position to the new reference position below.
