A one-page handout regarding the 2005 rule was mailed to individuals on the forest plan revision mailing list.

May 2005 – Late Winter/ Early Spring 2007

Use public comments and information and ideas collected from ongoing collaboration to develop proposed forest plans. Resolve national issues regarding a consistent approach to developing forest plans.

Spring 2007

Release proposed forest plans

90-day comment period

Use public comments to develop forest plan

Release forest plans; initiate 30-day objection period

Attempt to resolve objections

2008

Unresolved objections will be considered by a reviewing official who will decide the outcome and issue instructions to the forests. Forests will adjust the plans and issue final plans and plan approval documents.
