PDF Document Accuracy Disclaimer - Scanning text from hardcopy documents was the first step in creating many of the above Adobe Acrobat PDF files. These scanned images were converted to a Microsoft Word format by utilizing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. The final step was to convert the Word documents to the Adobe Acrobat Reader format utilizing Adobe Acrobat software. The OCR software performed very well, but not perfectly. As such, some character recognition errors are embedded in the text.
