Watershed Restoration (WR)
Recognizing a context for restoration projects and watershed
linkages to maximize the potential for success.
Objectives:
- explain preventative versus restorative approaches to projects/events
(restoration, rehabilitation, recovery, enhancement, and creation)
- determine what you are trying to prevent or restore
- determine the patterns and processes of vegetation change
- prioritize sites and potential for restoration - then prioritize
restoration projects
- explain a systems approach to watershed restoration linking
uplands and channels
- demonstrate low cost restorative techniques
Taking a holistic watershed approach working in participant home
unit teams. Includes activity-based learning and field experiences
where participants will gain an understanding of watershed linkages-particularly
upstream-downstream and upslope-downslope relationships that are
essential to the success and longevity of all restoration approaches.

Dropping from the Workshop:
Tuition is low for this workshop consequently there is not much
leeway on letting people drop. If you are registered, check with
us first, just in case we have a waiting list. If there is not
a waiting list, you will need to find a substitute or pay fixed
