Melanie Pitrolo


Melanie Pitrolo is an Air Quality Specialist with the Southern Region of the USDA Forest Service. Although she works with National Forests throughout the southern United States, her office is located in her hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. Prior to joining the Forest Service in 2008, Melanie worked for 10 years as an environmental engineer with the North Carolina Division of Air Quality, the Western North Carolina Regional Air Quality Agency and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Melanie holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from UNC-Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech.
